History

2013 – Symbrium acquired Factory Systems™ located in Columbia, South Carolina – a pioneer in factory floor metrology, gauging, data collection and information visibility solutions. Factory Systems fielded its first Metrscope™ Workstation in 1981 that transferred data to an IBM PC running then state-of-the-art SPC analysis software. Today, FS is a full service quality and production data management company with clients ranging from Fortune 100 OEMs using FS.Net™ to monitor hundreds of mission critical operations with manufacturing plant networks to small shops running a single seat of FS.Works™ software to perform SPC.

2014 – Symbrium established the Powertrain Technology Group in Raleigh, North Carolina – a powerhouse design and build team focused on delivering highly engineered equipment and systems to powertrain manufacturing plants and R&D laboratories. PTG focuses on testing, dimensional gauging, process verification and special manufacturing systems.  Engineering and Program Management services are also provided.

2018 – Symbrium established the Testing and Services Group at our new Triangle Research Facility just minutes away from RDU International Airport – a new and unique laboratory that provides gear material testing services using its own next generation equipment. Contract dynamometer testing services are also being offered for both long running and temporary product assessment and R&D protocols.

NEXT evolution is not far off.  Symbrium is dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art in gear and powertrain testing, dimensional gauging, manufacturing process verification and production data visibility technologies.
